Repercussions

Artist Susan Adams and writer Jo Mazelis will discuss their collaborative project and give readings from their new illustrated book Repercussions which charts the progress of their exchange of letters and drawings sent through the post. Supported by an Arts Council of Wales Creative Wales Award, the project was conceived as a playful and experimental conversation, allowing ideas to develop organically and evolve along the way.

The correspondence has since inspired a series of Susan Adams’ artworks, including paintings, drawings, animation and sculpture, some of which are currently featured in Elysium’s exhibition Safe as Milk.

The new book Repercussions, will be available to purchase at the launch, and includes an introduction by Dr Frances Woodley and an essay by Jo Mazelis.

The event also marks the final day of Safe as Milk, offering a last chance to see the exhibition and meet one of the participating artists.
