Gwenllian Morgan

A major commission from Brecon Story Network as part of their project "Bringing Gwenllian Morgan to Life". Though highly respected and loved in her time, Wales' first female Mayor has been forgotten until recently.

The work made for the commission took a year altogether, an almost life-sized polychromed wood carving to be situated in a central niche in the courtroom at Y Gaer, Brecon. I also made 4 animations developing ideas introduced in the sculpture.

The sculpture and animations were launched by the First Minister of Wales, Eluned Morgan, on 8 October 2025.
