2017-2020, A series of 1.5×2.8 metre drawings made following a creative exchange with poet Lesley Saunders as part of Creative Wales research, funded by the Arts Council of Wales.

Correspondence on Basildon Bond

I collaborated with Jerwood prize winning author Jo Mazelis through a correspondence on Basildon Bond featuring writing and drawing. Jo wrote through a number of characters inhabiting two different cultural worlds, mythical woodland and a contemporary university, while a chip shop called Tivoli Fish Bar acted as a sort of passageway between the two.

2005 woodcut with photopolymer block; 50cm h. x 40cm images from a limited edition artist’s book Duke Bluebeard’s Castle published by the Old Stile Press (edition of 150, a number still available). The images accompany Béla Balázs’ libretto for Bartòk’s opera Duke Bluebeard’s Castle translated by John Lloyd Davies

Fragments of St Iwa

Made while artist in residence at Shaftesbury Abbey in Dorset, this series of 12 woodcuts have a story with them, both drawing on the collection of books once in Shaftesbury Abbey and now in the British Museum and Bodleian Library. They are in an edition of 15; and hand-bound as a 34×42 cm book in an edition of 3.
